simon vinkenoog

I happen to be reading a book which was written in the last sexual revolution the writer actually makes sure we know it is written from 1963 till 1971. But this post is not about sex, well it always is of course, to me everything we are is related to sex.
quote, In een openbaring leeft hij, die weet dat het leven een aaneenschakeling  van wonderen is. (translated) In a revelation lives he, who knows that life is a sequence of miracles. or, In clarity lives he, who knows that life is a concatenation of miracles.
Upon starting to read the book (het hek van de dam) i already realized, hey here is someone who knows that there is not one truth, but that we each have our own truth.
Now of course life is bound by certain laws, a miracle really, that water is heavier then air, and that we might wake up in a cloud, and know ourselves wonderfully lost, or in a big rain storm and we are washed clean.  One can think of disasters too, but never  will the laws that water lives by be changed. Which is amazing, can you imagine that we suddenly have to adept and become like fish, that will take centuries, many of us will perish.
So miraculously there is these laws that we can depend on.
And then there is creation, i do call it free will,. never do i really now what the next moment will bring.
I live like a land mammal in a world of water.

sexual revolution

:) thank you Sean and others for your nice comments on the last post. Things are still dark, but my heart feels light, full of hope.... for what?

I don't quite know. Different things.

Maybe also for a sexual revolution?

I know i am pre menopausal, and i feel hot sex takes place for hot flashes of menopausal women of earlier days. beside it being menopause related i also think it is a trend.
As i browse the Internet and please do help me finding relevant articles,
I find indeed that since early days there have been sexual revolutions, not only in the sixties.
It names the time of Marquis the Sade, the Victorian era, the 1920s and then the last one the 1960s.

Are we in a new one now!? mmmm  that would be nice.
I found a few articles of 2011 that suggest that,  and last year the popularity of the book 50 shades of grey, says something.

Does it mean  that after a sexual revolution, we grow a little, evolve more in the set direction. That might be true in some ways, but i also think, i would be able to find articles that suggest a sexual repression in between those revolutions.

I think as human being beings we know when we are in a revolution, haha it feels good. But do we see ourselves to be in repression? probably not so clearly. We might think we have reasons or that we feel it very okay... So looking around me in society i do not see that euphoria yet of being in a revolution.  maybe i am still repressed and haven't see it truly happening.

Please count me in!
I vote for freedom! my freedom.

And you?

freedom; for a fish to swim above the ice
for a bird to join the swans
on their journey north
what is charity anyway, when you do not live among
the ones you give to
I am as stuck as them
maybe more
sitting in my castle
the moat so big i cannot swim across
the walls too high
because i wasn't born an eagle
do you think
i am better of
i long for rivers  full of pain
seeping into every crevice of my heart
it's not freedom, love or harmony
it's to feel a glimpse of freedom, while contained
to be fortunate enough to have known love in a world of hate
it's the harmony of the music i call life

Alexander Chisholme

Alexander made it into the paper again, as i couldn't find the article  on-line, here it is.
Like always i am very proud of him

And for fun a nice picture of the horses, that are on an open grazing lease at the meadows, it's always a joy when they spot us, coming trotting towards us, hoping we are the ones that bring them hay i suppose. But they are happy to just be petted by us.  With my arms i put some weight on his back, and he was totally okay with that, maybe next time i ride him.
